What if your photographer is "happy to see you"?
JUMP ON THAT SHIT!!!! Kidding!!!!!! Nov 17 07 10:39 pm Link It's human nature, and exactly what we hope our pictures do! Not a big deal. More of a big deal if it doesn't happen! Nov 17 07 10:41 pm Link I can't help but read this post every time it finds new life.... I shoot edgy, sexy images of models who fit the part.. I can't say I have never felt as though I was creating what I was going after.. Perhaps my pant's have gotten a little tight a few times... I would never let the model know if I could prevent it.. To this day I don't think I ever have.. I hope. My wife is 10 years younger than me and as hot as any model I have ever worked with.. More importantly she is my partner, my friend and we have a great sex life.. Just because a guy thinks a woman is hot doesn't mean he is going to make advances on her... Dudes.. If you think it's a possibility... Tight chones, baggy pants and un-tucked shirts keeps it professional every time:) Nov 18 07 01:27 am Link for once i dont feel so bad about being a patron of my local pharmacy ;-) now i can proceed with my hobby :-) Nov 18 07 01:31 am Link Happy to see you! Mar 04 08 07:23 pm Link i cant believe how many "holier than thou" photographers there are on this site. you guys need therapy for slamming other photogs for being visually stimualted. i consider myself a very normal, healthy, average human being. there have been a few times where i was looking through the view finder of my camera and framing "her" up and BOOM! it happens. i can't control it. maybe its the way the light is sweeping across her body, maybe its the incredibly sexy outfit she's wearing , or her gorgeous face. she just looks so sensual, which is what i was going for in the first place, and it happens. thats life ya'll. i dont point it out. i dont joke about it. i dont say "wow, look at what you did." i usually start thinking sad thoughts, like my parents in a car wreck or something. or i stop and go have a smoke, whatever it takes. i'm not an unprofessional deviant because i got excited. if you havent been turned on shooting angelic beauties then you're not normal. on the other side, i had a model tell me that she gets so excited posing for the camera. she said it turns her on incredibly. i never knew. she told me that after the shoot at a waffle house over coffee for God's sake. heres my point. we're human. quit acting like you're better than everybody else. you're likeone of those people that constantly drops names at a party trying to convince everybody that you're special or important. get therapy! It's like the co-worker who accidentally lets out a fart in a conference room which, is a normal human biological response to digesting food. A co-worker who would embarrass a fellow co-worker by going "ew ew ew", would actually be frowned upon by fellow co-workers. Words for the wise. Jun 20 08 07:57 pm Link To be honest, if the photographer was about as old as my grandfather than yes, I would be grossed out and uncomfortable. If he was younger I'd probably just try to ignore it lol. Jun 21 08 04:40 am Link EDIT:FucK didn't even notice how old this thread was I clicked it from the link on that resurrected thread in Model colloquy dammit I shoot men and women and I do not get sexually aroused and I am still capable of capturing images that are good for my viewers. So if you are a professional you should have been around enough models and seen enough bodies to be able to control yourself and worry about getting the shot you would be too busy to be getting a boner. Only in MM would you hear shit like this. Feb 06 13 08:06 pm Link do you shoot soft porn? sometimes it's hard to avoid on those shoots. you might even need a stiff drink afterwards. or a long break. lol. seriously, some women are just super hot and sexy. i can't be all clinical about it and get the shots i want. i feel the shot as much as i see it. that doesn't mean i'm going to attack the model but i do feel it sometimes (fortunately for the model i'm old so they probably don't even notice unless i've taken my cialis for date nite). if i were a glamour model i think i'd be put out if the photographer didn't feel it. is there something wrong with me? lol. Feb 06 13 08:16 pm Link Yes, I have had a photographer so happy to see me...he took his erect "happiness" out of his pants during a lingerie shoot and said "this is what it looks like just in case you are interested". NO, I was not interested. It creeped me out and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I have also had two different photographers text me a picture of their erect "happiness" before we were even going to shoot. Needless to say I didn't want to go through with those shoots. I am flattered is someone is happy to see me, but they need to keep their happiness holstered. I will admit to having those automatic "reactions", but I have never let that affect how I treat my models; with utmost respect for them and their personal space. Feb 07 13 11:32 am Link We are humans, it's going to happen once and awhile. Unless the photographer is walking around the entire time with a "lens" in his pocket, I don't see an issue. I'm sure models get turned on as well. Just keep it professional and move on. Feb 07 13 07:36 pm Link Hey...model! My eyes are up here! Feb 07 13 11:01 pm Link While I'm always happy to see models, according to the definition in the OP I've only been happy to see models twice. Both times I covered by turning my back on the model and pretending to fiddle with my camera while I put my mind back to where I wanted it. I don't think the models realized anything was up, both figuratively and literally, since both times I caught it early and stopped it before any tenting action.
